Hi, I'm LaPora
A little bit about me...
With eighteen years of experience across industries and roles, I bring a systems-level understanding of how people contribute, adapt, and create impact inside organizations. As a military spouse, I’ve held more than ten roles due to relocation, an experience that sharpened my ability to quickly assess organizational dynamics and identify how contribution actually gets recognized.
That lived experience informs my work today. I design and deliver services that strengthen workforce effectiveness by addressing both professional development and the personal dynamics that influence performance. My focus is not just on growth, but on enabling teams to take intentional action that produces meaningful impact, regardless of role or title.
If you’re curious about my formal background, here are a few highlights:
Master’s in Public Administration
Bachelor’s in Organizational Communication
Certified Workforce Development Professional (CWDP)
Master Certified Life Coach
Certified Emotional Intelligence Trainer
Lean Six Sigma Green Belt

What Makes My Services Different...
I bring a systems-level perspective to workforce effectiveness and talent development, shaped by years of navigating diverse organizational structures across industries and geographies. As a military spouse, I’ve experienced firsthand how different systems interpret contribution, capability, and readiness and how those interpretations impact engagement and performance.
My work sits at the intersection of workforce development, organizational effectiveness, and talent systems. I enable organizations to better recognize and translate contribution, especially in moments where capability is present but not yet fully visible or credentialed. At the same time, I equip individuals understand how their work is read inside systems so their effort aligns with what organizations actually value.
By improving how contribution is interpreted and reinforced, I support leaders and teams in reducing preventable talent loss, strengthening engagement, and building workplaces where people can contribute.
Let's create an impact!

For fun...
Outside of work, I’m a happy, reserved introvert. You’ll usually find me at home working on a puzzle or dancing while I cook. I love my family—and I am unapologetically competitive during family game nights.
I also have a deep appreciation for fine art. When the timing is right, you’ll find me in downtown Omaha at an open mic night, an art gallery, or a local community theater or festival.
